MERAKI

TERMS & CONDITIONS

A clear agreement,
so the sea stays simple.

These terms govern every Meraki charter. They are written to be read, no hidden clauses, no surprises.

1. Enquiries and confirmation

A booking request submitted through this website is an enquiry, not a confirmed reservation. Your dates are only secured once we confirm them in writing. A charter is a minimum of four days. Because Meraki takes a single charter at a time, dates are held exclusively for the confirmed party.

2. Availability

We take care not to offer dates that are unavailable. If, in the rare event that dates are requested after they have already been reserved, we will contact you promptly to agree an alternative. No request is considered confirmed until you have received our written confirmation.

3. Rates and payment

Charter rates, inclusions and payment schedule are set out individually in your charter agreement, which forms part of these terms. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, an advance payment is required to secure confirmed dates, with the balance settled before embarkation.

4. Changes and cancellation

If you need to change or cancel a confirmed charter, tell us as early as possible and we will always look for a fair arrangement. Refunds of advance payments in the event of cancellation follow the schedule set out in your charter agreement.

5. On board

  • The captain is responsible for the safety of the vessel and everyone on board at all times.
  • The planned itinerary is kept flexible and may be adjusted for weather, sea state, or port and marina conditions.
  • Guests are asked to treat the yacht, its crew and its contents with the same care they would show their own home.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the yacht.

6. Weather and cruising conditions

Conditions shown on this website, including wind, temperature and outlooks, are indicative only and are never a guarantee. Final cruising decisions remain at the captain's discretion, in the interest of everyone's safety and comfort.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, Meraki's liability in connection with a charter is limited to the charter fee paid. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings on board; we recommend arranging travel insurance for your voyage.

8. Governing law

These terms and every Meraki charter are governed by the laws of the Principality of Monaco. Any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of Monaco.
